Who we are

SolsTarot (solstarot.com) is a personal website run by an individual based in Québec, Canada. It offers free tarot readings, astrology tools, and spiritual guides. For anything related to this policy or your personal information, you can write to us at hello@solstarot.com or through our contact page.

What we collect — and what we don’t

SolsTarot has no newsletter, and we never sell your personal information. Anything you type into our tools — birth details in the birth chart calculator, a question for the oracle, the cards you pick, your Grimoire notes — is processed and saved in your own browser. None of it is sent to us. The only exceptions are the ones you choose, each explained below: buying the Keepsake, leaving a review, joining the Circle, adding a star to the Members’ Sky, or writing to us.

An earlier version of the Grimoire offered an account that kept your notes on our server. This option is closed. If you had such an account, write to us and we will delete it along with its notes.

If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive the name, email address, and message you choose to send, and we use them only to reply to you. We keep these messages for as long as needed to answer you, then delete them.

To block spam and abuse, some forms (the Keepsake, reviews, the Circle sign-in) briefly keep a scrambled version of your IP address. It expires after one hour at most.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used: number of visits, pages viewed, approximate region and type of device. These figures are grouped and do not identify you personally. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device. When it runs, Google receives the address of the page you are reading and technical data such as your IP address. The private code in a Keepsake link is removed from the address before Google Analytics can read it. We do not use Google’s advertising features. When Google Analytics starts depends on where you are, as explained in “Cookies and your consent” below. We also count visits with a small counter of our own. It uses no cookie and keeps no IP address and no name: your browser tab simply gets a random number for the length of your visit, so we can count visits, pages read and how our tools are used.

No advertising

SolsTarot does not show ads and does not use advertising cookies. Our product suggestions are affiliate links, explained just below.

Affiliate links (Amazon Associates)

SolsTarot is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you follow one of our recommendation links and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Amazon may set cookies to attribute the purchase. Our recommendations are chosen with care and are never influenced by a brand paying for placement. See also our Affiliate Disclosure.

Donations (Ko-fi)

You can support SolsTarot with a donation through Ko-fi. Payments are handled entirely by Ko-fi and its payment processors (such as PayPal or Stripe) on their own websites. SolsTarot never sees or stores your card or banking details. Ko-fi’s handling of your data is described in the Ko-fi Privacy Policy.

Keepsake purchase

The Keepsake is paid through Stripe, our payment processor, on its secure checkout page. Stripe collects what it needs for the payment, such as your card, your name and your email address; we never see your card number. Stripe’s handling of your data is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy. Your birth details are never sent to Stripe: the checkout page only receives a random code created in your browser, which links your payment to your Keepsake.

After your payment, we keep:

• your email address and the random code of your personal link, to send you that link and to send it again if you lose it;
• the Stripe reference of your payment, the amount, the currency and any tax, the country of your payment address (and the province, in Canada), the language of the page where you paid and the date, to confirm your purchase, keep our accounts and help you if something goes wrong;
• whether your purchase email was sent and the date your Keepsake was first opened, to help you if the email does not arrive or your reading does not open;
• a short check number calculated from your birth date (not the date itself), so that each Keepsake stays tied to one person’s chart;
• your chart (what you entered in the form: first name, birth date, time and place), only if you tick the box “Keep my chart with my Keepsake”, which starts unticked. It is saved encrypted with your Keepsake so it reopens on any device. We never open it.

For each sale, we also receive an email with your name, your email address, the amount and the country of your payment address (and the province, in Canada), and we send you one email with your personal link.

We keep these details for as long as your Keepsake exists, so that your link keeps working. You can ask us to delete them at any time through our contact page or by replying to your purchase email. Your link will then stop working, so download your book (PDF) first. Stripe keeps its own payment records, as the law requires. If you tick the box but do not complete the payment, your saved chart is deleted after 72 hours.

The Members’ Sky

After buying a Keepsake, you can choose to add a star to the Members’ Sky on the birth chart page. Your star appears in the public sky without your name. The first name you type and your Sun sign are shown only to you, in your Keepsake. It is optional, and you can have your star removed at any time by writing to us.

Reviews

You can leave a review of the birth chart and the Keepsake on the birth chart page. Your first name (optional; otherwise “Anonymous”), your stars and your text are published there after we read them, with the date and the label “Drew their chart” or “Read their Keepsake” (when your purchase is verified). We do not ask for your email address and we do not keep your IP address with your review. You can ask us to remove your review at any time by writing to us.

The Circle (community forum)

To take part in the Circle, you give us your email address. It is used only to send you a sign-in link (and, if you tick the box, notices of replies to your topics). It is never shown, sold or used for a newsletter. We also keep the first name or nickname you choose, your sky if you add it (Sun, Moon, Rising), and the posts you publish, which are public. We do not record your IP address when you post. A sign-in cookie keeps your session open; it is strictly necessary and set only when you sign in.

You can delete your account at any time from “Edit my name and my sky” on the Circle page, or by writing to us: this also deletes all your topics and replies, including the replies other members wrote in your topics. The first posts of new members are reviewed by a moderator before they appear.

Cookies and your consent

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. On SolsTarot they are used to measure visits (Google Analytics), to keep Circle members signed in, and to remember your choices, such as your language or your cookie choice. Amazon may also set its own cookies on its site when you follow one of our links.

How we ask for your consent depends on where you are. We guess your region from your device’s time zone. We do not use your IP address for this.

• European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Canada (or if the time zone is unknown): a banner asks you first. Nothing from Google loads before you choose. If you decline, Google Analytics stays off.
• Everywhere else: Google Analytics starts on your first visit and sets its cookies. A short notice tells you so, with a Settings button to turn it off.
• Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we treat it as a refusal. Google Analytics stays off unless you accept it in the banner.

You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page. If you decline after accepting, we delete the Google Analytics cookies set on our site. You can also clear cookies in your browser.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent to cookies at any time. For most visitors we hold nothing; otherwise, it is what this page describes, such as the details of a Keepsake purchase, a Circle account, a review or a message you sent us. Write to hello@solstarot.com or use our contact page, and we will answer within 30 days.

• Québec (Law 25) — the person responsible for the protection of personal information at SolsTarot is the site owner, reachable at the address above. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
• European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR) — you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your data, to data portability, to object, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis is your consent for analytics cookies, for keeping your chart with the Keepsake, for reviews and for the Circle; for the other Keepsake details, it is the delivery of what you bought and, for the payment details, our legal duty to keep accounts.
• California (CCPA / CPRA) — you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal, and you can turn off Google Analytics at any time with “Cookie settings”.

Children

SolsTarot is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party services

Our site is hosted by Hostinger. Our fonts are stored on our own server, so your browser does not fetch them from Google. If you choose Español or Português in the language menu, Google Translate translates the page: Google receives the text of the page, and your choice is kept in a small cookie. When you download your Keepsake book, your browser also loads a PDF tool from cdnjs, a Cloudflare service. Those services may receive technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the content. They have their own privacy policies and, like Stripe, may process data outside Québec and Canada.

We may update this page when the site or the law changes. The date below tells you when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
