Leo
THE LION
July 23 – August 22
Leo is the zodiac’s sovereign — ruled by the Sun itself, the only star at the centre of our solar system. Where Cancer feels, Leo radiates. There is a quality of pure solar energy in every true Leo: a warmth, a magnetism, a generous luminosity that draws others in as naturally as planets are drawn into orbit.
- Radiant, magnetic presence
- Fierce, devoted loyalty
- Extraordinary generosity
- Natural born courage
- Infectious, warming joy
- Inspiring creative vision
- Need for constant validation
- Pride as self-protection
- Dominating conversations
- Difficulty sharing the stage
- Wounded ego reactions
- Stubbornness in fixed ways
Leo loves generously and radiantly — grand gestures, fierce loyalty, and warmth that makes you feel like the only person in the room. In return they ask to be seen and celebrated. Adore them honestly, and they are yours for life.

Sunstone
Carries the sun’s own light — restores confidence, warms leadership, and reminds the lion of its birthright.
I shine without apology. My light was never meant to be dimmed — it was meant to warm the room.
“Where have I been dimming my light to make others comfortable?”
Do one thing purely for the joy of being seen doing it — wear the gold, sing aloud, host the dinner. Leo recharges in warm light, given and received.

The Essence of Leo
But beneath the magnificent exterior lives something surprisingly tender — a heart that needs to be truly seen, truly loved, and genuinely celebrated. Leo gives generously and courageously. What they ask in return is real recognition of who they are, not just what they do.
The Leo soul does not want to be the centre of attention. It simply cannot help being the light that everything else orbits.
Leo Constellation
“The Sun does not apologise for its light. Neither does the Lion.”
Leo is one of the oldest recognised constellations, traced back to Mesopotamian astronomers who called it ‘The Lion’ as early as 4000 BCE. It is among the most easily identified in the night sky — its brightest star, Regulus, sits at the base of a distinctive backwards question mark known as ‘The Sickle,’ representing the lion’s mane. Regulus, meaning ‘little king’ in Latin, is one of the four Royal Stars of ancient Persia.
In Greek mythology, Leo is identified as the Nemean Lion — a beast of extraordinary power and invulnerability whose hide could not be pierced by any weapon. Heracles overcame it with pure strength, and Zeus placed the lion in the stars in honour of the worthy adversary. It is a fitting myth for a sign that asks not to be conquered, but to be matched in power and met with true force of character.
